Dangote Sinotruck, LASG deploys Aerial Survey Aircraft, taskforce releases vehicles caught driving one-way, Police Operational Vehicles commissioned, news in the past week.

Dangote Sinotruck West Africa Limited, a joint venture between Dangote Industries Limited and Sinotruck of China, says its plant can produce about 10,000 trucks per year.

The company, with a total investment of $100 million, was established to produce wide range of commercial vehicles, including heavy-duty trucks, medium trucks, light trucks, and other semi-trailers.

Dangote Sinotruck has installed capacity to assemble and produce 16 –18 trucks per day or 10,000 trucks annually and will create over 3000 different jobs across Nigeria.

The Lagos State Government has announced the deployment of a Cessna 406 aircraft for aerial mapping of the state in line with the government's determination to ascertain the actual figures of buildings and the infrastructural strength of the State.

For the mapping exercise, the State Government said that the Cessna 406 aircraft will be deployed to take aerial photo shoot of infrastructures and aerial survey throughout the length and breadth of Lagos State.

While announcing the mapping exercise, the State Government implored members of the public not to be perturbed by the sight of the aircraft when it's lowered to get perfect shots.

The Lagos State Government has unconditionally released 21 commercial vehicles impounded for driving one-way to their owners to enable them to get back on the roads in pursuit of their daily bread.

This was disclosed by the Chairman of the Lagos State Taskforce, CSP Shola Jejeloye. He said that the impounded cars were released as a show of good faith and empathy with members of the public.

The Chairman of the Agency, however, warned the culprits to desist from violating traffic rules as they might not be that lucky next time.

President Muhammadu Buhari was on ground at the Nigeria Police Force Headquarters, Louis Edet House, Abuja, on Monday 13th February, 2023, to commission a wide assortment of operational assets acquired by the Nigeria Police Force.

The equipments, which includes 127 Operational Vehicles, Crowd Control and Anti-Riot Gadgets, were acquired for improved strategic and tactical operational deployments, particularly in light of the upcoming 2023 General Elections.
